The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.
Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.
Events
Join us for our first event, the wake of recently deceased King Jaehaerys II.
Updates
AUG. 19: So we are now officially open to the public. We have a mini-event flashback thread going on, and our main event just began. Feel free to make a second canon if you can keep both of them active enough.
Don't hesitate in pestering staff with questions; it's what we're here for! Let's raise a glass and make a cheer toward a successful launch of Winds of Winter.
you need to state your ooc name when reserving a position. please name the specific position (i.e. targaryen first branch secondborn). you will have 5 days to make the character. the spot will open anytime on the fifth day if the profile has not been submitted to the notification thread. also note that you may only have one reservation active at a time.
please keep in mind ages when making characters. most of the age restrictions will need to be followed, though there is some flexibility in certain situations. if a position you are aiming for has an age restriction, and you do wish to be younger than specified, pm staff with your plot idea or situation. we will arbitrate based on the information given and make a decision after.
in addition: as there will be cross-house marriages and roles, some claims will take up multiple positions on the canon claim list. this is to prevent further members of a house being created by marriages. precedence will be formed by the first characters created, and a child created first may bar out certain marriages for their parents based on history. while it is unlikely, be aware that this may happen.
if, by chance, there are inconsistencies noticed as the canon claims fill up, pm a staff member and we will adjudicate the situation between positions involved.
be sure to have reviewed the canon rules within the rules topic.
The Small Council listed below serves whichever ruler sits on the Iron Throne. There are currently three contenders for ruler, so review below posts to see other similar councils.
House Targaryen serves the realm with an immense wealth from their conquering and maintained peace within the realm. While the count of their dragons has dwindled their armies strength still remain strong. There is currently no King on the Iron Throne, as all three of Jaehaery II's children lay claim to it.
House Lannister controls their lands with their vast armies and their incredible wealth. They may not have dragons but their men are experts to warfare, with enough wealth to conscript any worth while sell-sword.
The youngest of the noble houses, House Baratheon protects its lands with mercurial temperaments and powerful warriors. Even wealth has found its way into the eye of the storm. Be wary of angering the stag.
Famous words shared by House Stark, they have vast lands that expand from the wall to lower realm. Though over this hard sewn land wealth is little compared to other houses, their men and woman fight like wild beasts.
A wealthy house found in the middle of the realm, even the Lannisters must respect their fortune. Not only do they have an impressive army, they lay claim to one of the most powerful fleets that rivals those of Kings Landing.
Riverlands separate the north from the rest of the realm. A vital point to hold they crafted bold armies to hold back the north or the south. With wealth flowing between the realms it makes sense that some of it has found its way here in the point between.
The vale houses lands that no other have dared to capture, within its isolated cliffs a noble house has grown. A strong army defending its passes with their own trove of wealth hidden away in the keeps.
Harsh and bleak island give life to the salt-born warriors of the sea. House Greyjoy has claimed their wealth from others, plundering the coasts with their navy and krakens that have none can sail upon.
Wealth has always been attracted to Dorne, its culture and lands different from all the others with its horizons of dunes. Relying on cunning and wit compared to vast armies that stand with northern lords.
