The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.

Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.

Sunspear is the seat of House Martell and the capital of Dorne, southernmost of the Seven Kingdoms, located in the far southeast of the continent on the Summer Sea. It consists of a strong, fortified castle and a town that sprawls around it. It is a town built largely of mud and straw. The town's largest structure is Spear Tower, a 150-feet structure with a pinnacle of shining steel.

THE BONEWAY

The Boneway is a pass through the Red Mountains that connects Dorne to the Dornish Marches in the Stormlands. It is one of only two major passes through the Red Mountains, linking Dorne to the Stormlands and the Reach. The other major pass is the Prince's Pass, located further west. The Boneway runs relatively close to the east coast.
