Astris will do any and everything for her family. Astris has always been a stoic child and isn't prone to showing her emotions freely. Astris is very calculating and observant which only adds to her aura of being a snake with their eyes on the prey. To say that Astris' stare is unsettling would be an understatement. Astris does show her feminine side when she lets her guard down but this is few and far between. Astris has seen what is expected and assumed of her because of her gender but refuses to be looked down on. Astris doesn't take orders from those that she feels are beneath her and will only truly bend to those that show her respect when it's due regardless of her gender. [attr="class","bioheader"]history. [attr="class,"bioentry"]Astris is the oldest legitimate child of her father, Mors Dayne, and mother. Much to her mother's chagrin, she never really took to the more acceptable hobbies. Astris' father was raised under the Dorne way of thinking when it came to female children and when she showed an interest in sword play, he was happy to oblige her. From a young age, Astris showed an aptitude for swordsmanship but had the disadvantage of not having the weight and size of her opponents. At around the age of 13, her father attempted to correct his mistake in nurturing Astris' hobby and tried to find a suitable husband for her to get her distracted but it was too late. Astris developed her skills so that even the biggest opponent couldn't outclass her. She learned to use her size to her advantage and after 2 years, proved herself to be a capable wielder of the ancestral sword, Dawn. Sadly, by the time she was given the chance, Dawn had long since been in the capable hands of another. It was around this time that the Dayne family underwent a huge change when the relatively new Lord of Starfall was killed at the hands of the previous Sword of the Morning. With no heirs, Mors assumed the Lordship which made Astris' the heir to Starfall. Astris went from being a useful marriage pawn to becoming heir and Dawn was lost to a sellsword in Essos. This only made her father and mother even more concerned about finding a suitable match for her before she decided to go after Dawn. Astris did exactly that. She refused to let Dawn remain in the hands of someone outside of the Dayne family. Astris wrote a letter stating she would return by her 21 birthday to do her duty, giving herself 2 years to find Dawn. [attr="class","bioheader"]inventory.
