Where the North has its honor and the South its chivalry, the Iron Islands has its strength. Forming the Kingdom of the Iron Isles, comprised of seven small rocky islands clustered far from the western mainland of Westeros. These tough islands are swept by harsh storms, and bear poor soil with barely any natural resources. It is no wonder why this culture has adopted maritime and raiding other lands. Pyke, the stronghold of the iron island is controlled by House Greyjoy. Bastards born of these unforgiving islands are given the surename Pyke.

Is the largest of the nine regions that comprises the Seven Kingdoms, almost equal in size to all eight combined. Its climate unforgiving for the cold from beyond the wall seeps down into its fertile soils towards the south marshlands. One can find the sea on either side of the North. Ruled from the castle of Winterfell, the House Stark calls these lands their home. Bastards born of the Norths loin are given the last name Snow.

The Reach is aptly named. We're the ones who give your hand something to do at the table. One of the constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms. These endless lands the most fertile soils within Westeros, gifted with blooming fields of crops and flowers. Populated with plenty of people enjoying its rich landscape and harvests. Filled with countless rivers and fields as far as the eye can see. This rich country is under the influence of House Tyrell, founded in their castle of Highgarden. Bastards brought into this world from the Reach have the surename Flowers.

One of the nine regions that constituent the Seven Kingdoms, found on the South East coast of Westeros. These lands filled with dense forests to the North and South. However at the middle a mountain range separates the heavy horizons of trees. Storms forever brewing in this country, its people bound to live by the mercy of the Narrow Sea that forms these very harsh climates. These savage lands are called home by House Baratheon who reside within their keep Storm's End. Bastards receive the last name Storm in this country.

The Vale of Arryn is one of the constituent regions of the Seven Kingdoms. Encompassed by tall mountains through out the entire land. Punctured by fertile rivers that form valleys through the expanse of land. This kingdom fortified with its mountains of the moon for natural defense to protect it from the warring nature of the other kingdoms. The family that call this expanse home is House Arryn, with their castle the Eyrie. Bastards of the Vale are given the last name Stone.

From strong leadership comes unity; from unity comes power. One of the strongest regions of the Seven Kingdoms is the Westerlands. Though the countries size is not massive, it makes up for it with a wealth of natural resources. The low mountains and hills are filled with valuable gems and ore. Which has provided them with a massive army and well prepared soldiers. House Lannister calls these lands their home, their castle better known as Casterly Rock has severed them well for many years. Bastards born from the Westerlands are given the last name Hill.

The Riverlands is our home and Gods help us we love it. These unfortunate lands have been a frequent battleground in the civil wars that have afflicted the Seven Kingdoms. Found in the center of Westeros the region is filled with temperate broad basins formed by the rivers of the country. Fertile soil spreading across the Riverlands because of the wealth of aqua. House Tully claiming ownership over this inland expanse, their castle known by the name Riverrun. Bastards of this country are given the last name Rivers.

The capitol region of Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms. Unlike the other kingdoms, they are not lead by a Lord of Paramount, but rather they are ruled directly by the king sitting upon the Iron Throne. These important lands consist of expanding plains and rich river valleys. Even forests spread from the southern portion of the kingdom. A portion of the Crownlands is guided by the king upon the iron throne and his small council in the Red Keep of King's Landing, in addition to its isles being lead by the prince of Dragonstone, a castle built by the likes of Essos army. Bastards born of the Crownlands are given the last name Waters.

The Wall is a colossal fortification which stretches for 300 miles along the northern border of the Seven Kingdoms, defending the realm from the wildlings who live beyond. The Wall is reported to be over 700 feet tall and is made of solid ice. It was supposedly constructed using both magic and mundane means some eight millennia ago, in the aftermath of the Long Night to defend the realm against the White Walkers who apparently dwell in the far north, though they are now considered myths by most.

The Gift is a region to the south of the Wall under the control of the Night's Watch. It lies at the northern edge of the region known as the North. It was donated to the Night's Watch by House Stark when the order was founded thousands of years ago, in order to support the Night's Watch with food and provisions.

The cataclysm hit the Valyrian capital city Valyria, fragmenting the land surrounding the city into numerous smaller islands, creating the Smoking Sea between them. The Freehold was annihilated in a single night of fire and storm, with great earthquakes and volcanic eruptions laying waste to the empire. What is left of Valyria is ruins shrouded in fog and ash, never to be restored to their prior greatness. What lingers there now, only legend and rumor can tell…

The Dothraki Sea is a region on the continent of Essos, thousands of miles to the east of Westeros. It is located in the continental interior, east of the Free Cities, and is a vast landscape of steppes and plains covered in low green grass which makes it look like a sea from afar. Within the nomadic horselords, the Dothraki, make their home in their holy city of Vaes Dothrak.

Known as Lys the Lovely, this free city sits on its own island to the south of the larger Essos continent. It is home to alchemists and merchants of various trades, ranging from perfumes of wonderful scents to the most infamous poisons the world has ever known. Many slaves inhabit this city as well, though it is not a large slave port.

The largest of the cities in Slaver’s Bay, it lies on its northeast coast. Rivers and mountains separate Mereen from the Red Waste and Dothraki Sea to the north. The city is massive and defended by large walls. Its Great Masters rule from within the Great Pyramid at the center. The city is also home to many fighting pits, including the enormous Daznak’s Pit.

Possibly the most populous of the Free Cities, Pentos is a famous port city. It is often the first city of Essos that Westerosi visit on journeys to Essos. Slavery is forbidden within its walls. It is ruled by a prince and council of incredibly wealthy magisters. Wealth flows in great amounts in and out of Pentos — and the magister’s vaults as well.

An ancient port city on the southern outskirts of the Red Waste, Qarth is immensely rich and culturally diverse. A massive fortified city is from where they dwell, protecting them from the harsh elements and armies alike. It is ruled by the Council of Thirteen, a collection of the city’s most influential and wealthiest merchants.

A harsh and unforgiving desert, full of stunted trees, ruins, and little else. It lies in the middle of Essos, surrounded by the Dothraki Sea to the north, Slaver’s Bay to the west, and Qarth to the south. The landscape is relentless with its high temperatures, arid air, blistering hot sands, and endless horizons. It is very easy to get disorientated in these wastes.

A free city on the stepstones. It is ruled by the Archon, chosen from among the city’s wealthiest nobles. It is known as a boisterous and loud city, full of drunkards, brigands, and greedy folk. Tyrosh is the city closest to Westeros, on the far west of Essos.
