POSITIVE Elysia is very sensitive and one of the ways that could reach through the heart of the girl is the little humanity she had left after she was trained to be a good knight. Although it didn't change the fact that her despair and loneliness could get the better of her otherwise strong facade, she had enough determination to always put up an unwavering and strong facade. If anyone could get onto her good side, then she would be a friend of life. Naturally cautious, and one who wouldn't trust just about anyone, she is a hard girl to please, yet if so, she would not hesitate to express her happiness. A reformed pessimist, Elysia's first nature is to look at a situation with a realist's outlook, though she will usually take the optimist's choice of action in a fight. She often fights with all her heart and soul and with a flame of loyalty always lit for the Iron Throne. | LIKES - music - swords - the sea - apples - sparring DISLIKES - fools - noise - insubordination - arrogance - treason | NEGATIVE Elysia is often mistaken as a cold and distant girl, often aloof and not mixing personal strife with her duty. Naturally snarky, the woman does not mince words when it comes to well-deserved insults. She dislikes all forms of weakness in men, but she wouldn't point it out so rudely unless it was called for, but if it was, prepare for an earful that will make the most hardened man cry. She is a perfectionist, an overachiever and failure is out of the question. This and more often made her a bit estranged from her family and her peers. She is also often insecure, her never-ending quest for perfection left her often disapointed for her own lack of strength if ever she felt inadequate. Too stubborn for her own good, her hard-headedness often left her buttheading with people that had the same ego, mostly resulting in conflicts or rivalries. |

[PTab=BIOGRAPHY]
the greed of yesterday is the death of your tomorrow
the dance of death is the most beautiful of all
A girl without a name or a past, Elysia was an orphan, dumped at the doorstep of one of the many whorehouses in King's Landing. She grew up lanky and distraught, deemed too "ugly" to be a whore, yet still strong to be a maid, and so she was given menial tasks around the place. Luck was the only thing that she had, it seemed, when a Knight had taken a shine to her at age ten, after displaying good reflexes at an incident in the small establishment which involved a few, accidentally thrown, knives and a metal tray. He instantly took her under his wing, rather fond of the small girl with a headstrong heart.
It was not long until she learned how to handle a sword, preferably rapiers, as her rather agile body seemed more attuned to the fast-paced footwork that was required for said swordplay. She had trained under him for years, her body slowly growing out of the frail shell into the strong and nimble limbs she mastered to control. Her "mother" had noticed this change when she was seventeen and decided to finally introduce her to whoring, but the woman had made up her mind. She had aspired to be a Knight. This idea was laughed at, not only by the woman who took her in, but the knight that taught her, and his laughter hurt more than anything else. A woman should learn her place, he said, before he turned away, never to return again.
Elysia was stuck in a limbo for two years, falling back on her duties as a maid while fending off advances from clientele with her prowess. It was bad for business, what with the patrons ending up black and blue and slowy going to other brothels because of this. For the second time in her life, the girl was thrown away, left to fend for herself in the streets that robbed her of her identity, with only her old rapier in possession. It was as it the Seven had greater plans, though, when she chanced upon a rather cornered, Saerysa Targaryen, and against her better judgment, she joined the fray and defended her. With the men dead at her feet and the Targaryen safely back in her home, the girl found herself a new identity as she was annointed a sworn sword by the very Princess she saved.
Her tenure at the castle was more or less lackluster, only highlighted by the fact that most of the other Knights had looked down upon her since she was only that, a woman. The doubts and weird gazes were often thwarted by her prowess with her rapier, delivering swift defeat to younglings and haughty squires who dared challenge her. She began to create a name for herself, the girl was not just someone from the streets anymore but a proud knight of her own lady. She spend the later part of her years serving Saerysa and learning the castle's infrastructure in her wake. It took one more faithful incident to reward her the highest honor she would never have imagined she could get, but not without a price.
A few of the knights in the castle were planning a coup de etat, led by someone she had considered a friend. He was a squire when she was knighted, a knight five years into her career, and was a good soul. Yet there were always two faces to the greatest of people and he was a hidden snake waiting to strike the iron throne. She had caught them planning one night, and, along with three other knights, they fended off a good, thirty men, funneling them between a narrow corridor and displaying skill and technique that managed to overthrow a night's rebellion. Although the leader had fled, along with the betrayal that rooted within the girl's heart.
The battle lasted until dawn, yet the four of them remained victorious. Elysia had been known as the Demoness, the fencer that never wavered even amongst the throng of faster, swifter, stronger men. It was not surprising when the four of them had been annointed Kingsguard after the plight, and she wore the honor with her head held high.
She was someone now, far from the girl she was twenty one years ago. She had sword to protect the King, but she was most loyal to the girl that breathed life in her otherwise, dead existence. Duty became her new purpose and within the assembly of men, no one can question her unwavering loyalty to the Iron Throne.
