When did we build this broken home?

Alexander had a strange birth. Though he grew up on the streets of Braavos from a young age, he was not born there. Rather, according to his mother, he had been born amidst the Smoking Sea, on his father's ship, who was known for being a reckless adventurer (something that his mother would joke that Alexander inherited). She said it was only by the grace of the gods that they survived and were able to come home to Braavos, but his father would later be killed by raiding Ironborn during a trip to Westeros.

With his mother passing on due to illness when he was a child, a fairly common story, Alex learned, Alex took to the life of a street urchin fairly easily. His natural talent allowed him to pick up on life on the streets, and from an early age he took to swordplay, and took to it quite well. By the time he had been selected as First Sword, he already had the nickname "the Twin Storms" due to being able to masterfully wield two blades alongside the one handed fencing style that most Braavosi were known for.

As the First Sword, his reputation only grew. One popular story told in Braavos was of an incident where two rival crews confronted each other in a tavern. Insults were traded and it nearly came to blows. Blades were drawn and blood was boiling. However, the moment Alexander stood up and drew his two swords, both parties looked at him and quietly took their seats. Alex is humorously, rather proud of the fact that during his tenure, he could count the challenges he got on one hand. It was also during his tenure as First Sword that he came to fall within the Lord of Light, R'hllor.

However, when the Sealord died and his successor, Damien Naharis took the position, Alex was about done. Four years into Naharis's stay as Sealord, Alexander quietly resigned and left Braavos without a word. Rumors swirled as to the reason. Most common was that he was disgraced, or had a falling out with the sealord, or he found a red priestess bride. Always taking delight in the most scandalous possibilities. To this day, he's not quite sure who his successor is, but he's sure he left some decent shoes to feel.
