The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.
Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.
Events
Join us for our first event, the wake of recently deceased King Jaehaerys II.
Updates
AUG. 19: So we are now officially open to the public. We have a mini-event flashback thread going on, and our main event just began. Feel free to make a second canon if you can keep both of them active enough.
Don't hesitate in pestering staff with questions; it's what we're here for! Let's raise a glass and make a cheer toward a successful launch of Winds of Winter.
FRIENDS She has friends of all shapes and sizes. Almost all are native to Essos, where she has lived her whole life, or travelers. Growing up as a slave, she is no stranger to the harsher reality of those without fortunate circumstances. She is empathetic, making it easy to befriend her. Initially she may be wary of a stranger, but she warms up quickly. Do not mistake friendship for trust, for she rarely gives the latter unless it is earned. During her time as a pirate, she met many people from all lands the sea could reach. Since deciding to stay in Braavos, she has made quite a name for herself. The tradesmen and common folk alike seem to be enamored with her carefree attitude and willingness to help.
ENEMIES If it is one thing Enyo despises, it is the subjugation of others. If you put yourself in the slave-owner category, she will do everything in her power to make sure misfortune falls on your head. Aside from that, most of her enemies linger from her days as a seafaring pirate known as Jackal. A disgruntled victim of her past raids would likely be less than pleased to see her in the Braavos hierarchy. There are also those who are disgruntled by Enyo's title as First Sword, given that she is a near-stranger to the land. Nothing has been done, but she can generally tell when among those who disapprove of a foreigner in such a position.
ROMANCE Due to her time as a pirate, sailing the oceans, and adventuring distant lands, Enyo never really thought about love. She believes in it completely, holding on to the memories of her parents perfect love despite their circumstances. Since moving to Braavos, she has been more interested in the culture and getting established than anything else. With her elevation to First Sword, she has even less time to dwell on matters of the heart. Any romance with her would definitely be a slow burn, likely rising from a sense of equality with her partner. They would have to be on even ground, because she would never fall for a man who she would have to protect or who viewed her as inferior.

Starfall
Although Arkas is a knight from Westeros, he is on a quest to travel the world, attempting to find goodness that might inspire him to protect it. It's either possible to make a current RP thread or make one in the past, during her pirating days.
He isn't arrogant enough to doubt her skills with a sword because she is female - he is from Dorne, women and men are the same to him when it comes to considering worth. He'd consider her for her deeds, not her gender, her helpful personality might earn his respect.
Otherwise if she were a pirate, he might be forced to rise his sword in order to defend the innocent from her ravaging terror.
Perhaps Arkas came across one of her former victims and vowed to take her down for the sake of goodness but becomes conflicted at the prospect when it becomes apparent that she has turned her life around.
If there's anyone who could see Enyo as an equal rather than a foreigner or inferior, it'd probably be Alex. Having been a First Sword himself, he could probably get some sort of idea where she's coming from, though he might have to grasp how relatively new to Braavos she is. If she ever found herself in Westeros he'd probably seek her out to see who his successor is. But due to shared ground I could see Alex potentially growing feelings for her.
There was also a time in Katsa's life where she too lived a pirate's lifestyle, sailing around the Free Cities. Likely, she was a little more ruthless in her actions than Enyo and her companions were, but they could have run into one another now-and-then. Perhaps even left each other's company with a some-what shaky friendship? Or perhaps not. Katsa's reputation had some ugly stains.
Katsa could find some charm in Enyo, but it would be up to Enyo in how she reacted to Kat. It's not difficult for Katsa to rub others the wrong way with her impish attitude. The admiration that she would find in Enyo's advanced swordplay could easily be misunderstood as insincerity or childish mockery. And her heart is hardened, believing that the only way to help others is to leave them to help themselves. In many ways these two are very different, and yet fortune seems to have favored them both, elevating them both to the top of the social hierarchy.
Should their paths cross once again, Katsa's presence would likely not be a positive influence upon Enyo. The urge to poke and prod to learn how much of the Jackal still exists within the First Sword of Braavos would be too great of a temptation.
i love this. maybe arkas came across her in her pirating days, and then happens upon her later on? she isn't a pirate anymore, and has totally changed, but that doesn't mean he has to believe her right off the bat. perhaps they even fought before, and it was interrupted somehow? we can get to the specifics if you want, or just kinda wing it. he would probably know her under her 'jackal' name if he met her as a pirate in their history, but her green hair makes he pretty visible. haha.
ENYO & ALEXANDER
first swords for life! this is perfect, no joke. i love the idea of him understanding her where most wouldn't, and seeing her as an equal. i could definitely see her developing shared feelings over time, but she would definitely not be the one to act on them initially. westeros ain't ready for the badassery if these two became a power couple haha. we need epic battle threads. throw them into the fray! haha.
ENYO & KATSA
happy to see other ex-pirates! i like the idea that perhaps their crews had a rivalry at some point? her captain was pretty ruthless, but she preferred looting and stealth to outright slaughter. maybe their crews had to team up at one point, and that's how they developed the shaky friendship. let me know if that sounds like something that would align with her history. i could see them developing a friendship over time sparked from their shared pirate history. enyo needs female friends anyway. haha.

We can wing it. But the backstory is good. It can stay vague. He defended one of her raids but their fight got interrupted. I'll let you wing it from here. Link me.
It's not a first sword couple without bonding duels! Fortunately there may be a way to snag her over to Westeros, so when that happens we gotta thread.
So Marko here is like your grandfather as far as First Swords go. And sadly he will very much be the enemy and antagonist to your story. When he was around “Leviathan” was just a little no good shit that needed to be put in his place, and since little Damien has grown and taken over as sealord, Marko will have a hard time adjusting to that and not wanting to sail back and kill him on the spot. something of the sorts might go down actually. And because of all this, Marko will feel a strong hostility towards whoever is the current First Sword and thus supporter of Damien.

A history of friendly rivalry and debauchery sounds more than fine with me. As does their friendship, so long as you're content with her being a potentially corrupting influence > Perhaps a long-delayed reunion? At times, nostalgia hits Kat hard and she makes a brief return to the Free Cites. Considerably better behaved, as she can't very well risk Dorne suffering in direct result from her actions. But that's probably for the best, avoiding these two crossing blades - at least, not with the intent to kill.
