Being born into the world of slavery is far from glamorous. Her mother and father worked for one of the masters in Meereen, serving his family in any way they were able. It was hardly a life at all, cowering and starving throughout her childhood. When their master found himself in debt to another, he sold off Enyo's father to the fighting pits. It was heartbreaking, her mother soon growing desperate to somehow liberate her child. One night, when Enyo was merely 6 years old, her mother sold her off to a pirate captain in charge of an all-female crew. They had been traveling through Meereen, and decided to take in the young girl as a servant of their ship.
For years she sailed with the courageous women of the Black Sails. As time wore on, Enyo began to quickly pick up on swordplay and fighting technique. Noticing her aptitude for this particular skill, the captain decided to officially accept Enyo as a crew member. The girl was only 15 at the time. As a pirate, her courage grew like a well-fed flame. She earned herself the nickname Jackal for her feral yellow eyes, and would earn her keep aboard the Moonlit Lady many times over with her cunning and resourcefulness. They became the family that was ripped from her in childhood.
One of their journeys brought the women to Braavos, and Enyo fell in love with the city. After a few days inland, she requested that the captain allow her to reside there. Reluctantly the captain agreed, releasing the 18 year old into the world on her own.
It was a tough start, but eventually Enyo carved out a life for herself. Any chance she could, day or night, she was practicing with her swordplay skills. She would fight anyone who would challenge her, walking away victorious more often than not. Each loss was another strategy; a new move to try or step to take. Before long, she was besting those who previously defeated her. With notoriety like that, it didn't take long for word of the deadly beauty to reach the right ears. She was brought before Leviathan, the Sealord of Braavos. After numerous meetings with the young leader, Enyo was elevated to the status of First Sword. She has held the position a little less than a year.
