She has those in abundance, especially tenacity - she knows what she wants and she knows how to get it. Assertive and stern, she takes decisions without hesitation and has not once proven to be a helpful hand to her father and mother in matters regarding the Vale. Responsible and dependable, she tends to go a little overboard with her notions of honor and duty - she comes off as cold, detached, heartless to some. She has her share of insecurities, however, and she keeps those for herself - she must not show weakness, no matter what. [attr="class","bioheader"]history. [attr="class,"bioentry"]The world is cruel and unforgiving. Argella, the firstborn daughter of Lord and Lady Arryn was taught that ever since she could walk - no one was going to give her anything on a silver platter, no one was going to come to her aid if she was not strong enough. People were not only meant to be helped, but they needed to be led as well. She was no damsel in distress, nor a knight in shining armor - she was the sword, sharp and cold and cruel, because that was who she needed to be. Most of the times, she was more Arryn than Argella, she was her house, she was the Vale, she was her blood, the blood of the first Andals. Rarely did she ever get to be just Argella, and even then, it was only for a few, fragile moments.[break][break] But she did not need to be Argella. She was and would always be an extension of her father's justice, of the people's justice. Her siblings could take up needlework and dancing - she was still a child when she started how to use a sword properly, and she loved it, even though she was not particularly good at swordfighting. She had the spirit, unyielding and strong, and if she learned how to use that to her advantage, she'd never have to do the fighting alone. She would have the people at her side.[break][break] She was fourteen when she started traveling around the Vale, aiding here and there, however she could. And the people of the Vale seemed to appreciate that their lord was sending one of his children to see things, to aid. At eighteen, she had enough scars on her body to make any suitor shy away from asking for her hand. But that was alright, men could wait.[break][break] It was in a confrontation with a minor mountain clan a year ago when Argella first got a taste of near-death: she and her guards helped defend a village from a raid and, facing a much larger and definitely much stronger opponent, Argella nearly lost her head. However, her instincts saved her as she took a step back right as his spear grazed her cheek. She was left with yet another scar and a falcon egg that she found at the raiders' camp a few miles away from the village, where they had camped the night before. She has become almost obsessed with the falcon egg and the Arryn keeps it away from anyone's gaze or touch, hidden away in her room. She keeps it locked up in a chest, holds it close to her as much as possible and sometimes even talks to it until late at night.[break][break] She is now more aware of herself, especially after helping that village defend against the raiders, and has become more interested in studying strategy and tactics, more interested in the apparently boring work that goes on behind closed doors, during councils. With her father's permission, she has started to attend these meetings a lot more and strives to be the firstborn her parents need. [attr="class","bioheader"]inventory.
