[attr="class,"bioentry"]Few descriptors of character can do for Morella what the term “refinement” can. As an insider to exuberant amounts of wealth for all of her life, Morella has mastered the art of remaining gracefully aloof amongst others. Her poise lacks warmth and charm, mostly coming across as statuesque more than anything else. Even so, her counsel hangs on every word she dares to utter with a sort of respect often reserved for the best politicians in the ring. Her choice of words do far more for her than her body language. [break][break] Her lifeless facade in public can be smoothed over some if wine is at hand. With drink, Morella becomes a bit more open and sensual though most of her appeal again stems from the language she uses. Some may call her mastery of suggestion a bit manipulative and her mysterious intent lends some evidence to that theory. [break][break] Morella takes the upbringing of her children incredibly seriously. Though she is not known to dote upon them, she does wish to see them succeed in as many ways as they can. Traditional successes mean little to her; a trait she inherited from her mother. Morella would much rather see her offspring bring glory to themselves in ways beyond just keeping the family line afloat. So far, she has much to be proud of. [attr="class","bioheader"]history. [attr="class,"bioentry"]Morella was born in the transitionary period of the Spring equinox. Brought into the world a Tyrell, the young child was quite readily handed to the team of wet nurses the great house employed for occasions such as these. Another daughter was no cause for true celebration. The family already had two of them running around the castle grounds. Being the third, and the last for her father’s first wife, meant Morella saw little and associated little with the adults of her lineage. [break][break] Her favored wet nurse was a Dornish woman brought to Highgarden to encourage a wider political perspective in Lord Tyrell’s brood. Although he still longed for an heir, his lady urged him to mold his three daughters into political power players. Her whispers led to the daughters’ subjugation towards learning a variety of political strategies. With the combination of Highgarden’s finest literature and Dornish wit, the three golden roses, as Morella and her sisters were called, quickly earned themselves gloried reputations throughout Westeros. [break][break] Morella’s birth mother passed on abruptly before Morella’s sixth nameday. Her father remarried almost as suddenly. His bride of choice was a young Redwyne girl that nearly matched Morella’s oldest sister in age. She quickly worked to bring Lord Tyrell more descendants and succeeded in giving him two sons. [break][break] The inadequacy Morella felt in comparison to her younger brothers affected her deeply. The new woman did not help in easing her feelings either. Slowly, her feelings towards the couple soured to the point of detestation. Her sisters were the only members of her family she still valued. [break][break] Her teenage years saw a gradual sanding away of her personality. She became cold and calculating, known for her stoicism amongst her peers. She worked this angle as she matured, her statuesque presence causing intrigue within the pool of suitors she began collecting at a young age. [break][break] Eventually, she settled into a betrothal she had a hand in procuring. After quietly swaying her father over towards the idea of a union between rose and lion, a meeting was set and she got her way. [break][break] The lion she married holds a similar perspective. The young couple clicked immediately after meeting. Intimacy and young love was not what brought them together. Shared goals ultimately tied the knot between them. [break][break] They are true to their roles and to their standing image before the people. Duty above everything, strategy behind the scenes. [break][break] You can imagine Morella’s children are a bit indifferent towards their mother. The musings would hold some truth. Though she does love them, their true purpose goes beyond simply “having a family”. [attr="class","bioheader"]inventory. [attr="class,"bioentry"]"Dornish Red": A single skin of poisoned wine made from the Manticore. She keeps this stowed safely away with a subtle mark to denote its true identity. The skin was a wedding gift from her Dornish wet-nurse with instruction on what it was to be used for. So far, Morella has left it untouched.
