The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.
Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.
Events
Join us for our first event, the wake of recently deceased King Jaehaerys II.
Updates
AUG. 19: So we are now officially open to the public. We have a mini-event flashback thread going on, and our main event just began. Feel free to make a second canon if you can keep both of them active enough.
Don't hesitate in pestering staff with questions; it's what we're here for! Let's raise a glass and make a cheer toward a successful launch of Winds of Winter.

[attr="class","cellTitle"]Lord Daemon Baratheon of Storm's End
[attr="class","cellHead"]Friend
[attr="class","cellBody"]Daemon can act friendly to any familiar face, but to actually receive the lord’s friendship is another feat entirely. He is generally mistrusting to all outside of his family, often putting his mind to the task of weeding out others’ true intentions or hidden motives. Those who prove their competence, loyalty, and worth will find a staunch ally and advisor in Daemon. He is a source of compassion, strength, and wisdom to his allies.
[attr="class","cellBody"]Wronging Daemon is easily and rarely done — often because those who have slighted the Lord of Storm’s End only do so once. Unlike most Baratheons, Daemon does not outwardly act on his anger, but he harbors and nurtures his grudges for abnormally long periods of time. He is remorseless in ridding himself of enemies, both in the field and in court. He purposefully puts on airs that suggest he is less dangerous than he truly is.
[attr="class","cellBody"]Daemon is a married man, loyal and loving of his lady. Those trying to win his affections or seduce him for nefarious purposes will soon find themselves coldly rejected -- and perhaps at the mercy of his lady wife.
The leader of the Baratheons? pff, how i could i not. Since both our characters old af what do you see we have them meet, adding to this equation them knowing each other from back then. Say Daemon finds his way somehow in King's Landing and sees Arri in the sorry state that he's in , even though he had no knowledge of what happened to one of his best knights from back then.

Arri && Daemon Baratheon Perfect. A once well known and skilled knight from the Stormlands would not escape Daemon's father's notice. I'm sure that, while growing up as heir to Storm's End and a man of greater political calculus than his father, Daemon would do his best not to remain ignorant of noteworthy men from his lands -- and keep tabs on those of great strength. Arri's "disappearance" in the North would have worried Daemon and his father, though they would not have known what happened nor where to search. Daemon could definitely run into him when on a visit to the royal court. That would be a real interesting thread and potential starting point for who knows what...
I got something gold. Daemon could summon Arri to Storm's End as an honorary guest to show him gratitude i guess for the his loyalty to the family. (It also helps me to come up with a reason to be in Storm's End so i can RP with your limping sister :3). But Daemon will no longer see the Knight in shiny armor that once served under his flag, he'll see but an old cripple that grew bitter and hateful. This meeting at court could turn out to... reveal some plots hidden in the dungeons of the Red Keep. .

Your thirdborn daughter is here, and here she is, brains and commando and mouthy. Rundown of Alayne: commanding, intellectual, and sharp. As Alayne's father, Daemon would be one of the first to notice her keenness of mind and her natural affinity for leadership. She has his brains, and her mother's attitude, and if he nurtured her strengths, then, Alayne would have so much more reason to adore her father.
From a young age, Alayne has always wanted to be acknowledged her intelligent father and she looks up to him for his cleverness. In my head, I see Papa Baratheon grooming Alayne for future debate rhetoric sexiness. He is going to be one of the few guys who Alayne thinks is not gross af. Daddy's girl pls <3 <3

alayne baratheon, I love it. Whereas Alynne may be more like Althea, Alayne inherits more of her father's shrewdness and yearning for political calculus. And she's still got the fiery and bold heart of a Baratheon. Daemon's perceptive, and he wouldn't fail to recognize this in his own daughter. And since he's not one to judge people based on gender but rather on competence, he would think very highly of her. Though she won't stand to inherit Storm's End, Alayne would receive a lot of love and attention from Daemon, and he'd do his best to nurture her skills and state of mind so that she's as prepared as possible for the harsh political climate of Westeros.
hey father, here's a second son for you. he's definitely not an offspring that can be trusted with politics because he's not subtle/ devious/ duplicitous enough (and never wants to be) to navigate the snake's pit of king's landing. but he's a damn good knight who Stands Up For What's Right and whatnot so maybe you'll still be proud of him anyway. except he gets into way too many brawls with people (highborns and lowborns) because he just can't let things slide or keep his big mouth shut and on the whole he's a very impulsive reckless guy (but it's out of commitment to doing what he thinks is the right thing).
dom really respects his father and wants to earn his approval, but he's a stubborn 18 yo boy who already thinks he knows how the world works (or SHOULD work and it's just dishonorable scheming politicians who keep it stuck the way it is) so they probably butt heads sometimes. never outright disobedient tho; just full of this impatient go-get-em energy.

Daemon Baratheon & DONALD BARATHEON: Let me keep it short and sweet; your stern little brother is here to lead your army because he's the best knight you know. He's here when you need an advisor and confidant because, while he may not agree with you on everything (and makes no effort to keep what he disagrees with a secret), he's never had any problem following your lead. And, even though he thinks some of what you do is just plain unnecessary (he scoffs at the cane, and isn't all that impressed with your ability to keep cool) he still holds unspoken respect and love for you.
Now, put that cane down, stop pretending, pick up a sword and spar with him. or just talk, a nice talk would be fine

DOMITAN BARATHEON, nice to see a Baratheon Daemon can truly butt heads with. It seems Domitan takes after the recklessness and combative nature of his ancestors more than Daemon himself. Daemon would recognize and respect Domitan's strength, but chide him for all the brawls and insignificant fights that he uses them for (if word of them reaches his ear, anyway). What's more, Daemon would have tried his best to groom all of his children for the necessary evils of Westerosi politics, and Domitan's dislike and resistance against that would have aggravated his father. Daemon would still love his youngest son, of course, but their relationship would be testier than those that he maintains with Domitan's older siblings.
DONALD BARATHEON, haha, Daemon isn't about to change, but he's also exactly the type of man who would heed the advice of someone that openly disagrees with him yet truly loves him back. Daemon trusts family above all else, expectedly, and his brother in particular would have an incredible degree of trust. Sure, they'd squabble as brothers with differing temperaments and viewpoints often do, but together they would work as a formidable duo in the Stormlands and beyond. And it seems Daemon needs to find a match for his younger brother...
haha well it's good daemon has to deal with at least one kid who's a handful. who ever said baratheons were meant to be easy to raise ey? he and dom probably butt heads more as dom gets older because dom's now well past the grace period of adolescence where he can get away with a lot of the shit he's been pulling (fighting with highborn sons and earning the disapproval of their fathers, being rude to lords, talking back to them, etc) and his lord father is probably getting fed up.
if you want we could find someone (or just have an NPC) to get involved in a mini-plot where dom seriously insults/injures some lord/lord's son in a brawl about something and the lord is pissed at dom and starts bitching at daemon by extension and demands a public apology from dom (who would be like 'fuck no i'm not saying sorry to that shithead, i refuse to apologize bc i did nothing wrong, so there.' god spare us the pride of a teenager right) and daemon has to deal with this new drama and just like 'i don't fucking have time for this jfc.' YES/NO?

DOMITAN BARATHEON, works with me! Definitely preferable that you fight with the son of another lord (aka PC). I'll leave the choice up to you concerning who you want to reach out to/struggle with, and after that thread we'll have one of our own. Just don't go gettin' Dom killed now!
