The Sable March [Doran Plotter]

A kind soul in the hardened lands of the Storm Lands, Doran is a loyal companion and the face of modest camaraderie. He allies himself with those of noble cause and respects men based on their strength and will to achieve their ambitions. His greatest loyalty is to the Baratheons of Storm's End, and champions their cause above all others. A friend of the Baratheon's is a friend of Doran's. He is not simply a follower however, and shows capable skill in leading men as well, being one of the more popular teachers of martial skill in Storm's End, and a reliable commander in skirmishes. He has taken more than an arrow or two for his comrades in battle.

The hand of the Fury guides Doran's blade. As a fierce and loyal retainer of House Baratheon, Doran does not flinch away at the notion of conflict with other houses or kingdoms. He has bled for the Storm, and will bleed yet more for them if they command it. Yet that is not to say Doran does not have his own personal demons to grapple with. Being a baseborn himself, Doran does not appreciate those who find superiority in their birth, and in fact appalls those who would take advantage of the commoners with their abused power. Doing so is like to set the young knight off. In regards to his past, Doran seethes in the bitterness of his abandonment, unsure who of his parentage and hateful to his missing father and mother for their abandonment. Lastly is the Marcher blood flowing in his veins, sporting years of emnity against the Dornish people that leaves a lasting stain on Doran's soul, causing him to feel uneasiness at the presence of the Dornish people. Ironic, given his true heritage.

Romantically dense is one way to describe Doran's love life. His entire childhood has been dedicated to diligent study to become a knight, but he had never considered any of the more... carnal perks that came with status. Whoring and philandering were never his strong suit, and he was always too reserved a man to pursue anything that resembled a relationship, perhaps to the chagrin of many women in his life. The only woman he has kept close to is his childhood friend, and perhaps neither are truly aware of any romantic tension between them. Doran is young and naive, unsure what romance is like, and perhaps needs someone to lead him along the path before he can take a step in earnest.
