The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.
Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.

It had been quite the busy week for the prince of the Iron Throne, having decorated his abode to accommodate for two Lords in day past. Now he simply wanted to relax his mind, and soothe his body. The young dragon would do just that, no one would be permitted entry save his own House. Exiling himself into the inner most portion of his castle, following the staircases until he felt the heat of the earth start to rise. A springs of sorts located beneath Dragonstone. Perhaps it was a dragons ember that brought these waters her to a boil as he marched through the steam.
Coming upon a small abode of smooth stones, removing layer after layer of cloth from his figure until he was bear boned, left with nothing but his own soft hide. The weight of the world seemed to all but rush away from him. Taking a brave step into the seething waters, feeling the immense heat swallow around his flesh. Until he submerged himself up to his neck into the waters. Revitalizing himself with the heated aqua, seating himself upon one of the many stones beneath the bubbling tides.
Emerald eyes settling upon the steam as he brought soaked fingers through his hair, wetting the young dragons heedless locks of hair. Before submerging himself completely in the boiling waters. Only coming up to the surface for a breath, as he gasped to take everything back in. Water quietly pooling down his face, as his eyes slowly opened with his mouth to stare at the empty space around him, only torches lit up this chamber. Had he made the right choices? Would all go according to plan? Many questions weighed on his mind.

The padding of soft feet on the stone floor was the only betrayal of her presence. The young woman was practically skipping down the corridor to her cousin's hot spring, attempting to flee her ladies and have a moment to herself. Arys felt suffocated under the weight of her responsibilities, and today it was time for an escape. Thus far she had yet to run in to any of the Targaryen cousins, but perhaps her luck would change. Just in case she found herself alone and the spring, the silvery-blue dragonette had procured herself a bottle of wine from the kitchen of her father's house to go along with the drinks she'd had with her earlier meal.
Entering the steamy bathing area, she took a quick look around and spotted no one. There was a pile of clothes off to the side, but often the cousins would forget their robes and simply cover themselves in towels, going towards the bedrooms to dress. A bit saddened to find herself without company, yet happy she had come prepared, Arys popped open the cork and poured herself a rather full glass of the red substance before slowly easing out of her pink-hued dress and setting it out of the way.
Just as she eased herself into the warm water, a silvery head popped from beneath the surface. It took her a moment too long to register her cousin's presence, likely due to the copious wine she'd been consuming over the course of her day. As shock escaped her lips, her hand flew to her chest in surprise. Turning red as the wine in her hand, that she had miraculously managed to keep in her goblet, she made a half-angry face at her family member. "Aegys, you frightened me!" she huffed, calming her suddenly erratic heart as she continued to slide herself into the warm waters. "I thought you were in the company of the other lords? Or have they retired home?" Putting the glass to her lips, Arys sipped a bit of the bitter liquid as she watched her cousin for his response.

What he believed to be a peaceful keep had been defiled, the footsteps of his kin had gone unheard to the young prince. Arys had full permission by birthright to come upon his castle, but he would never have imagined that she would have chosen the springs. His surprise seemed lacking, his stare lighting up a little bit at the sudden appearance of his cousin. Emerald eyes piercing through the veil of steam towards his family. Spotting swollen breasts and a glass of wine. Arys' reaction to him however was far more emotional as she swung her arms to cover herself all the while keeping a firm hand on her alcohol.
The Targaryen blaming him for spooking her, yet she had come uninvited to his home. " You act like we have never bathed together before Arys." Aegys mused with his dull stare. Despite her gorgeous figure his mind continued to weigh heavy on his choices. His reaction would be small compared to the blush that occupied his cousins cheeks. Her lips parting to ask about his prior business with the Seven Kingdoms. Giving her a small nod of confirmation, " Come to ask me to marry you now?" the two now of legal age to be married to another, their family known for keeping their line pure his partner for the throne could very well be her.
Though all jokes aside, the boy decided to think later on the subjects that plagued him. Giving Arys all his current attention and affection as he moved from his earthly seat to however over the woman with her wine. " What brings you to my castle Lady Arys?" Aegys asked, tilting her chin up with his hand, cupping it softly within his grasp as he leaned against the bear woman. A second hand falling upon the side of her hip, feeling the warmth of a body below the boiling springs. " Having you grown bored of the Red Keep?"

He chastised her reaction to his presence, and she gave a sharp laugh. "While that may be so, it is not typical of you to appear above the water so suddenly. You surprised me, that is all." Attempting to retain the shred of dignity she had left at being taken so off guard, Arys listened as he avoided her question, but posed one of his own. With a smirk true of a dragonette, the typically sweet girl narrowed her violet eyes at his emerald hues. "I should think not, dear cousin." Though she was unsure who his father would have him marry, there were things about her he wouldn't wish upon himself to deal with. Her darker streak ran the length of the keep.
Taking another sip of her wine, feeling the burn slide down her throat, she watched Argys as he made his way over to her. His hand gently rested beneath her chin, tilting her face towards his as he spoke. He leaned into her, placing a hand on soft curve of her waist, and watched her. Emerald eyes bore into her violet ones. Whatever he was thinking, she hadn't the slightest idea. Doing her best impression of a coy little girl, she pushed into his touch and looked away shyly for a moment before turning to him with a playful grin and slipping herself from his grasp. "Oh dearest Aegys," she began, running her hand slowly down his cheek and neck to stop at his collar bone. "You would do better alongside your sweet sister. A true dragonette's fire would burn too bright, I would think."
She was teasing, of course, but it was true none the less. As much as Arys loved the other female Targaryen like she would a sister, it was true that Sae had a more obedient streak. Arys was her fathers daughter, and no amount of teaching could change that. Dress a doll up in whatever clothing you will, but beneath the frilled exterior she was truly fire and blood. There was also the secret streak of shadow in her blood, the bite of dark chocolate to her otherwise sweet disposition. Of course, no one knew of that guilty pleasure. Thus far, none had been able to incur her wrathful tendencies. As she watched Aegys, curious for his next move, she took another slow, intentional drink from her goblet.

" I will be king one day, and when I am my entrances shall be far greater then me rising up from water." Aegys explained to Arys in the springs, dull green eyes relaxed on the figure of his cousin. Hearing the woman's disbelief for their pairing, laughing at her doubt. " You fail to see, neither of us have a choice with my father." he mused, the man who sat upon the Iron Throne had absolute power. Though that was enough speaking of kings and men that were now him, he had a beautiful woman before him.
Hearing the voice of the vixen as she soothed the aches of his body with the movement of her hand, escaping his own grasp as she played with him. Explaining to the prince that he would be better off with the likes of his direct kin and sister Sae. Arys was not wrong, but the woman was far to kind for the world they lived in. Sheltered within her own world compared to the one that Aegys had been locked inside. " But she is not here now is she?" Aegys expressed to the pairs quiet spa.
Taking a playful bite from her ear, while cupping her chest in his hands for a brief moment. It would be then he would pull away and seat himself where he had been prior, resting against the warm rocks. Eyes never leaving the sight of his kin, " You didn't answer me." Aegys mused with his fixated gaze on Arys. " Why did you come here? Did father send you, or did you truly miss your cousin?" he questioned the Targaryen. Watching her swallow more and more of her glass of wine.

drink,
As his words settled in to the air around the two Targaryen's, Arys never let her eyes stray from Aegys. Where most ladies would avert their gaze, the silver-haired woman's fierce violet eyes practically hissed in the steam. "I have not a doubt in my mind your words are true," she cooed, tipping her goblet in his direction for emphasis. The world had taken on a softer tone. Whether it was from the steam or the drink, she hadn't a clue. Arys was not one to drink in excess. However, with moments away from the Keep few and far between, she thought she might as well enjoy herself.
His words reminded her of the arranged marriages in her family, and she stood slowly. Turning her back to the prince, her hands expertly poured another goblet. A bit of the liquid splashed onto her skin. Using her finger, she traced the droplet and licked the excess from her fingertip. Wine was too precious to waste when she so rarely indulged. Pivoting slowly to face her cousin once more, she spoke as she tilted her form back to rest against the rocky lip of the spring. "You misunderstand; I know my duty to our families. Choice is the only luxury those with power may not afford themselves. I was merely stating for your sake."
He approached her again, nibbling her ear and toying with her flesh before retreating to the edge. The woman held still with eyes locked on his face, not as playful as she had been the previous time he placed physical affection upon her. She was a placid fierceness, while her familial counterpart was a demure sweetness. Her father had always called the female cousins the Moon and the Sun, and he couldn't have been more right. There was a certain finesse to the give and take of dealing with dragons that Arys had nearly mastered. Too much playing could result in the boiling of tempers, while too much giving in return would result in boredom. Toe the edge of the sword; that was the safe zone.
His inquiry made her smirk. "Must I always have ulterior motives?" she asked in return, feigning a pout. It was soon replaced by another half-grin as she answered. "As far as your father is concerned, I'm here on behalf of our sweet Saerysa to request you visit as soon as you're able." Letting that sink in, Arys waited a beat for a reaction. She wasn't the type to get worked up or jealous, though. Feelings like that were just something that got in the way of her duty to her family. "Of course, I've also received word of your lofty visitors. May I ask, what was the nature of these meetings?" she pressed, tilting her head to the side as she spoke. If Aegys knew anything about Arys, it was that she couldn't keep away from the politics of the realm. While she wasn't an active participant, she was one of the more well-informed ladies at court. Information, after all, was her favorite form of currency.
