Vaera was born to House Velaryon of Driftmark. She was a happy child who enjoyed the life of a highborn lady and absolutely adored everything that came along with it. She was the bright star everyone needed in their lives.
When she was only eight years old herself, her parents told her she was to marry the son of House Redwyne, who was double her own age at the time.
Normal children would probably hate the idea of being forced into marriage by their parents - for nothing more than politics - but Vaera? Vaera was actually excited. Not just for the wedding itself, even though the idea of herself in a wedding dress was absolutely amazing to her - but the whole concept of being married spiked her interest. She only hoped her husband would be a kind one.
And luckily, he turned out to be just so. Over the years, Vaera has grown to love her husband, as well as their child.
