The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.
Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.
Events
Join us for our first event, the wake of recently deceased King Jaehaerys II.
Updates
AUG. 19: So we are now officially open to the public. We have a mini-event flashback thread going on, and our main event just began. Feel free to make a second canon if you can keep both of them active enough.
Don't hesitate in pestering staff with questions; it's what we're here for! Let's raise a glass and make a cheer toward a successful launch of Winds of Winter.

DOMITAN BARATHEON • MALE • 18 • BI • KNIGHT
ENEMIES
Dom is a straightforward, uncomplicated guy. If you're enemies, you'll know it. He doesn't like people who are arrogant, pompous, overbearing, pedantic, deceitful, cowardly, hypocritical, or immoral, and if he sees you acting like that you'll hear about it (and probably get a punch to the face for it). People think they can get away with anything just because they're in a position of power or no one saw them do it or they had 'good intentions' or whatever, but that is absolutely not going to fly with him. The world is only 'shades of grey' because people over-complicate things to try to worm their way out of taking responsibility.
FRIENDS
If you're not an enemy, you're probably a friend, because why not? Dom's default isn't actually kicking the shit out of every bully he finds. He's actually a pretty friendly guy. He's honest and reliable and always leaps to the defense of people he sees being pushed around by someone else. He's actually made some of his friends that way (while simultaneously making enemies). His closest friends are the people he trains with regularly and practices swordfighting with, because that's what takes up most of his waking hours.
LOVES
At the moment, girls are more of an annoyance to him than an attraction. Some of them are alright, but the highborn ones his age want to play games of flirtation and subtlety that go right over his head. Boys are simpler, and don't mind getting good and sweaty with you. He might muss up a girl's hair or something if he tried to tumble her. He knows he'll get betrothed to one at some point; he just tries not to think about it and hopes she'll be okay.

alayne and domitan; These two are the same age. He practices swordplay; Alayne has mastered knives and the bow and arrow. Together, they are halves. She is more politically astute, driven by duty and ambition to advance the Baratheon name politically; she rides out everyday to patrol the Stormlands. He is friendly; she is blunt and intellectual as well as commanding. However, they are family and that means she must protect him too. When he goes back home covered in wounds, she is the one who bandages them, treats them and later talks to him. They are siblings, and they have grown up together. Alayne's devotion to Domitan is strong, for better and worse.
I imagine they'd be close, though. It is Alayne who wants to keep Domitan safe from harm; it is Alayne who trains alongside him like they are equals and often advises him and most like, oversaw his studies. Alayne will not have a brother who is intellectually lacking LOL
considering how close they are in age, they probably fight more than with any other siblings, aha. especially because she's female; as part of the genderizing in their society, dom would want to make a clear distinction between them from very early on. he thinks it's cool that he has sisters that can fight, but thinks it's more of a hobby for them or exercise. as a highborn male in westeros he's actually expected to learn to fight and to excel at it, because it's more closely tied to his personal worth in the eyes of other people. as a result he definitely isn't going to let himself be protected by her. he appreciates her devotion and companionship; he's very loyal and committed to everyone in his family, but dude get off his back, sis.
aaaa and sorry but dom is definitely not the intellectual one of the family and is never going to be lol. he's not one for thoughtful contemplation, analysis, and reflection; he takes action first and asks questions later. but they probably did study together under tutors/ governesses/ their mother with the rest of their siblings. they'd definitely be close, but they're very different and would probably fight as often as they got along, which would be really fun to thread! C:
If they came across one another at the moment they would probably be at odds. Banditry likely goes against DOMITAN BARATHEON's sense of justice. But there was a time where Jaime was a squire and, before that, a boy being brought up to be the next lord of Tarth, loyal to the Baratheons. Though a few years older than Dom, perhaps circumstances brought Jaime to Storm's End years ago? Or, as both having once been squires, they could have come across one another at some tourney? Their personalities are quite similar, and Jaime wouldn't have said no to getting "good and sweaty."
If they were to meet again in more current circumstances, Jaime wouldn't be unpleasant - well, any more than he would have to be considering that Domitan would fit the criteria of that which the Brotherhood preys upon - even if Dom felt the need to object to his current lifestyle. Why, he might even agree with Dom - people should take responsibilities for their actions. Like the Targaryens. If the realm is at peace is it so hard to imagine that that's partly because most are too downtrodden to put up a fight? Shouldn't the Targaryens and those who commit violence in their name be held accountable for that? Yes, Jaime makes a habit of manipulating others, he can't help himself. But that could be a convenient truth as well.
okay, I concede to your idea. seems more realistic. it'd be funny to see them fight. i'd love to see them fight. wondering how violent it will turn out to be LMAO
