The day Navreth was born, Lord Darius Swygert ordered feasting for week, for the pregnancy had been difficult to achieve and even more difficult to take to term. At 39 years old, the late Lady Lora Swygert had given up hope on conceiving a child, so Navreth came quite unexpected. As the only offspring of the Swygert line, Navreth grew to have trust for servants as if they were siblings, and often he played with them through castle and forest alike. His childhood ended up being an eventful affair of chain adventures, one of which left him without an eye. Undaunted by this partial handicap, Navreth, Navreth grew up just as skilled as any lad and perhaps even more than most, over the years grooming skills both intellectual and physical.

From an early age he demonstrated a thirst and capacity for detail, pointing out aspects all around him that most others overlooked. The amount of information he retained quite quickly also made him an important head witness in any given situation, and later his cunning allowed for him to piece patterns together to such a degree he could formulate elaborate and insightful strategies. This led him to become his father's military adviser from the fresh age of eleven, and together the two worked over scenarios both recent and old, becoming renown tacticians across the Stormlands. At the same time, Navreth easily progressed in his understanding of the longsword as well as the slender blade. Today Navreth practices an unique meld of traditional swordfighting and water dancing, transitioning from one stepping into another as the situation requires. At some point he had even received the honor of dancing upon the Moon Pool, and the two years he spent in Braavos he remembers most fondly.    

At the age of 15 Navreth was as skilled as any practiced man and entered the service of the Baratheons. As a guard, he worked his way up the ranks, also receiving his knighthood at 16. That same year he became part of Daemon Baratheon's personal guard, position he retains to this day, nowadays also acting as military adviser. Having grown quite close to and fond of the current Lord of Storm's End, Navreth cannot be swayed from his allegiance by riches, promises, or even torture, and it is a stark fact in knowing circles that to get to Lord Baratheon one must first escape the detection of this particularly observant guard, as if dealing with the ruling Lord himself wouldn't have been difficult enough.

During his years of service, Navreth had the unique opportunity of getting betrothed to a woman he ended up loving dearly. Lady Lysa was every bit as caring as she was intelligent and kept him on his toes throughout their relationship. At the age of 20, Navreth welcomed his first son into the world. He was followed shortly by a daughter. The four of them made a happy home of Warrenhall, whose mighty structure built to withstand the roughest storms has endured through generations. Animated by his joy and good fortune, Navreth turned Warrenhall into a hub of trade and learning. He collected assets wherever he could, be they books, items, or even people. The newly appointed Lord Swygert (after his father died that year) had the unique quality of finding value in the rough, and there are incredibly efficient and loyal servants walking his halls that were nothing more than beggars when he came upon them. As such, Warrenhall deploys prize tutors, amber-artisans, carpenters, alchemists, and stonemasons, all of them hand picked by Navreth. 

It was a dark and stormy day when the ironborn came like wraiths from the Sunset Sea in great numbers and attacked the small settlement Navreth was at the time passing through with his family, save for his son whom had been left at home to get a taste of responsibility. A great struggle ensued, and while many of the reavers lay dead, so did Lady Lysa and the youngest Swygert, Lord Swygert himself surviving by a miracle after a month of being bed-bound and feverish. Five years later, Navreth keeps his son far from any shores, something always stone-like within the depths of his being.
