ASRAR AUSRA PARODIA

Beaten and broken and chased from the land

Asrar Ausra is from Asshai in the Shadowlands of Essos, located on the far south-east of the continent. Her parents were of no real importance, low income, had no real way to support themselves or their family. Asrar, who would soon abandon her name that she was born with, loved her mother and thought that she was the most beautiful woman with her dark ebony hair that nearly flowed to the ground. One evening when the family was enjoying dinner in their small room of a house thieves entered their house, pillaging through their house. Her father had no way to protect himself nor his family, his throat being slit before he could even react. Asrar's mother tried to run but was caught and raped before they killed her. Young Asrar of age eight hid beneath her parent's bed, watching the entire thing.

She left the scene when the thieves were gone and wandered around the streets of Asshai for days. She lived on the streets for a few weeks. But eventually a slaver found and she was beaten to do chores and other duties that he forced upon her. This caused her to become very callous and hardened, to the point that she wouldn't cry any longer. However, one day she up and ran away but not after stabbing the slaver with a fork in the neck; she didn't know why she knew to strike him in the neck, it was like fighting was in her blood.

She continued to wander the streets, hiding in dark alleyways and stealing for food. A few days later an assassin found her on the streets and took the young child in to become an assassin like himself. She trained with him becoming one with the shadow. He gave her a new name, no one should ever know her true name. He gave her the name Asrar Ausra Parodia, her name means "Secret", "Dawn", "Illusion."A few weeks later he vanished. She was sixteen then.

She decided to travel to Braavos as a mercenary, not knowing where the man went nor wanting to stay in Asshai for she had been reborn as a assassin of the shadowlands. She had a decent amount of money, though the caravan she traveled with didn't take lightly to carrying a woman with him. However she had money enough to pay her way to Braavos, and she was a pretty good hand. When the caravan got attacked by thieves she was able to prove herself. She was also good with plants and potions, her parents having made a living by making healing potions, though along her travels she started to dabble in poisons with the plants she found along the way. As she traveled, she made up alias for who she was, never having a true name though her face remained the same it always seemed to be shrouded in shadows. She would never retain the same persona wherever she went.
