THE SHADOWS COME TO DANCE, MY LORD
POSITIVE Daemon differs in temperament from his father and Baratheon ancestors, though he is no less deserving of his House or its words. While most Baratheons have been known for their loud fury, Daemon greets his enemies with cold and brooding anger. In both combat, dialogue, and politics, he waits patiently for openings to exploit and strikes at the weaknesses of armies and debates alike. This behavior and reputation aid his House, which competes against those of greater forces and wealth. He is a shrewd negotiator and capable military tactician. Privately, he's also a caring father, eager to help his children become the best that they can and want to be. He does not view his daughter as lesser than his sons, and judges all on their competenence as opposed to uncontrollable factors. He does not shy away from playing "The Game of Thrones", and will do anything to protect and promote his family. | LIKES - stout beers, red wines - arguments, debates - familial bonding - hunting - stormy weather DISLIKES - recklessness - cowardice - sycophants - indecision - ironborn | NEGATIVE Accompanying his silent fury is an unforgiving and vengeful nature. To wrong Daemon Baratheon is to invite an eventual rebuttal, though he is capable of waiting for abnormal amounts of time to execute his revenge. Though a loving father, he will not hesitate to place his children in positions that favor the family but go against their own desires, including forced marriages. He is deceptive as well, purposefully casting facades of his character (such as using a cane when in public to appear physically weaker) to mask a more cutthroat and dangerous persona. When dealing with enemies, Daemon shows no mercy or remorse. |

The Cold Fury
The firstborn son of the late Lord Baratheon, Daemon differed greatly from his father. He lacked his charisma and exuberance, but proved far shrewder. He naturally took to his maester’s studies while still earning his skill with sword, lance, and mace. Though an astute individual, he harbors the same propensity for righteous fury as the rest of his kin. Quelling various insubordinations and rebutting insults from less trustworthy bannermen during his time as heir of Storm’s End have helped hone Daemon’s political and militaristic skills. He earned a reputation for being cold, patient, and merciless, and no doubts remain that he’s every bit as strong and deserving of loyalty as his father.
Currently, Daemon acts within his expected capacity as Lord of Storm’s End and vassal to the Iron Throne. However, he’s always looking for opportunities to elevate his family’s position, and readies himself to counteract any slights against House Baratheon by other nobles eager to do the same.
