The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.
Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.
Events
Join us for our first event, the wake of recently deceased King Jaehaerys II.
Updates
AUG. 19: So we are now officially open to the public. We have a mini-event flashback thread going on, and our main event just began. Feel free to make a second canon if you can keep both of them active enough.
Don't hesitate in pestering staff with questions; it's what we're here for! Let's raise a glass and make a cheer toward a successful launch of Winds of Winter.

ORIGIN
The origins of the Iron Bank mirror the humble beginnings of the free city of Braavos itself. The escaped slaves of the Valyrian Freehold hid everything they held dear in an abandoned iron mine, out of reach from thieves and pirates. Overtime, the shafts of the mine began to fill with more and more valuables. As their wealth amassed, the escaped slaves began to give loans to their less fortunate brethren, and thus the Iron Bank was born. Over the centuries, the bank’s wealth and clientele has only grown. Archons, Kings, Merchants, Princes, and Triarchs now journey to the heavily guarded bank seeking loans to help their political schemes. Those who fail to repay their debts soon find themselves ousted, killed, and replaced – and ties to the Iron Bank are never proven.
PRESENT DAY
The Iron Bank is currently managed by an exclusive and secretive council, headed by Arellio Tyquis. The gold and secrets the Iron Bank contains have become sacred to him, though not because of personal avarice. He entered this world an impoverished orphan, and now serves the Bank as its most powerful key and secrets holder. The Iron Bank is open for business, and willing to lend out its immense wealth - provided the bank gets its due.
ACCOUNT HISTORY
Listed below are IC records for the Iron Bank's dealings: loans to lords and the debts of kings.
I wasn't precisely sure on where to place this, but if we wanted to make a transaction, or at least pursue one ICly. Should we simply contact you and get a thread going or..?

MARKO HARLAW, yes. Feel free to post here detailing what plot or thread idea you had in mind. After that, we would most likely have a thread where your character meets with Arellio in the Iron Bank for whatever business he has.
Arellio Tyquis, cool. So despite being an outlaw, Marko has loftier goals than simply pillaging and such. He wishes to establish his own dominion somewhat like Braavos except inside of Westeros. For this he needs coin beyond that capable of being acquired through robbery and ransom. His ultimate plan is to retake Harrenhal for the ironborn and use it as the basis for developing and retaking the Riverlands. I was thinking that there could be two threads. The first where he goes and is either denied because it seems foolhardy, or the price is too steep. And the second after he has established a bit of credibility or is willing to pay the price lay before him. Crazy shit I know, as are all things of interest.

I like it, MARKO HARLAW. Arellio will definitely rule that the Iron Bank reject helping Marko the first time. But based on the actions to follow, a loan to help him become the new lord of the Riverlands isn't entirely out of the question. I also think it's just a cool and interesting idea in general. If you want to get a thread started with Marko visiting the bank (or if you have another setting you find better), feel free to start it and tag me.
