Cassandra was born as the fourth child of Lord and Lady Stark and the second and youngest daughter. Her position in the family was set as one to be sheltered and protected by her elder siblings while she found fun in leading around her younger brother as he was the true baby of their family. Winterfell was always her haven and the only world she truly knew, but she always dreamed of seeing the rest of Westeros beyond the North. Oh, how the young girl loved to spend so much time in the library reading the dusty old tomes written by maestors of past about the history of Westeros and the lands beyond. She especially loved to imagine what it was like to live in the Age of Heroes where so much of their greatest accomplishments seemed to happen. Of course, Cassandra also had to learn to leave her fantasies behind to learn the more womanly arts such as sewing and courtly behavior.
At times she would manage to sneak away from those lessons and play within the woods surrounding Winterfell, or she would practice her archery to at least have some way of defending herself. Perhaps her most favorite pastime was riding, because she never felt as at home as she did when on horseback. Perhaps her more wild nature was what earned her the nickname of 'she-wolf,' but she does not mind. She enjoys the moniker very much, though! For now Cassandra is enjoying what is left of her time in Winterfell, because she knows that sooner or later she will become betrothed to someone. That is the way of the world for a noblewoman, but that does not mean she has to make it easy for her family.
