The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.
Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.
Events
Join us for our first event, the wake of recently deceased King Jaehaerys II.

[attr=class, lovesays] Alexander Hawke doesn't have much for friends. Being Braavosi, he doubts people will really warm up to him in the land of Westeros. However, as a First Sword of Braavos, he can be affable when he wants to be. However, it's quite difficult for Alex to actually get close to someone as well. He's always with one eye open, so to speak. That said, if you actually can get him as a friend, well. The First Sword of Braavos does not forsake his friends.

[attr=class, lovesays]Alex is fairly live and let live. He's antagonistic, but not so much so that he actively goes around trying to murder people. That said, if he feels he has been wronged, he will not let it slide so easily. If forced into a fight, one will find that Alexander is easily a deadly foe. The First Sword of Braavos does not forget.

[attr=class, lovesays]While Alexander is no stranger to the touch of a woman, actually wooing him is definitely difficult. His tenure as first sword left him with some serious trust issues. In Braavos, everyone might hurt you, and it's been hard to get rid of that mindset. Nevermind that rumors abound that he might actually be married to a red priestess, which may not even be true.

So first off there seem to have been three different First Swords on the site now. With it being Marko < Alexander < Enyo and you two seem to already be in the works as far as plottage but I think I’ll throw in some of my two cents and see what you think. As mentioned before Alexander there was Marko, for like a decade, and thus it probably came as a surprise to some when he stepped down and Alexander took over. Perhaps Marko could be one of the reasons that Alexander hates the ironborn, I saw the bit about his father but I doubt Marko would’ve made it better. Maybe Marko saw potential in Alexander when he was younger and often taunted and prodded at him, prompting them to spar all the time with Marko usually winning until one day Alexander did and boom Marko just disappeared after that. Both of them are currently in Westeros so it might be interesting if they ran into each other again particularly with Hans being an outlaw and head of the Brotherhood Without Banners.
Thoughts?

On one hand, Marko is Ironborn, and having undoubtedly heard about the Ironborn from him, Alex would grow to hate them for sure. On the other, Marko is pretty much Alex's master if we do this. Alex would probably even call him "Master Harlaw" whenever they meet up. Marko could probably get Alex's reason for leaving out of him as well.
As for training him, that works too! It also explains Alex's rather brutal methods with Cassandra right now as well. Potential could work. I'm good with any reason. Potential/Wanted to have a way/potential ally into Braavos whenever he thought it was time to take down Damien/Possible repayment to R'hllor/Whatever you want really. I'm good with most anything.
But yeah, I'd love for Marko to have effectively acted as Alex's father figure and would love for Alex to see him as an Outlaw leader, though he might not be too hot and bothered over that.
I like the whole notion of Marko being a father figure considering he's super confused with the world as it is, and doesn't want to fret over what children he may or may not have running around, especially one that isn't even really his. He would most definitely question Alexander about stepping down so soon, maybe even becoming aggressive over it, and he would eventually ask Alexander to come join the outlaw brigade should he feel the time be right. Might even throw some jazz about R'hllor needing them.

Yes, father figure it is then. We need to thread soon. Maybe a separate thread in the Riverlands during the tourney? Also aggressive is good. It's not two First Swords without blade singing. Getting him to join might be harder though.
