The year is 286 AC. King Jaehaerys II has just passed, leaving the throne without a rightful ruler. While his three children fight for the crown, Winter creeps closer, and unimaginable darkness looms.
Not all alliances will be so typical this time. In fact, many people have a crucial effect on the way this story is told. As for the ending, we only hope there are enough people left alive to tell it after its passed.

AUG. 19: So we are now officially open to the public. We have a mini-event flashback thread going on, and our main event just began. Feel free to make a second canon if you can keep both of them active enough.
Don't hesitate in pestering staff with questions; it's what we're here for! Let's raise a glass and make a cheer toward a successful launch of Winds of Winter.
Alysanne is one of the three Targaryen children who purport they have claim to the throne. The now-dead King decreed Alysanne be Queen, and the unorthodox mother of three plans to become one.

"I don't need wine to give me fire, although I am tiring of that Targaryen trope quickly." You didn't rule a kingdom effectively with fire. Those who said it was better to be feared than loved never understood a third option existed: respected. It's what Quellon demanded even though he as well was an overwhelming ball of brute force.
Alysanne watched as he smashed the bottle on the ground. She found herself more saddened by its absence than frightened from the sudden gesture. He flipped the table, and the princess merely stood, watching the show. He surely did enjoy trying to assert his dominance and tower over the lithe woman before him. She was too old for these antics, and all she saw before her was a child throwing a tantrum because things didn't go precisely his way.
She ignored the knocks on the door for the time being. She was secluded, her shadowcat with her youngest, and she could not hold a weapon to save her life. "What will you do, murder me here in the Red Keep?" She narrowed her eyes and matched his step forward to show just how little she cared for the big, bad kraken creeping toward her. "If calling your people savages offends you, I'll stop. I can offer your house respect and commendation. But you're not taking me away from my family and home when they need me the most." Another step forward, leaving no distance between them. She did have to crane her neck to look at him, but she did so without timidity. "If I really am the Queen you wish to rally behind, you won't give me ultimatums and expect me to respond pleasantly."
"I'm not coming to the Iron Islands anytime soon. Is that clear?"

One had to wonder if it was Ironborn nature to bow to the strong. The kingsmoots of old were decided by a mixture of strength or promises of it. It was a shame, Quellon knew, that Alysanne had no dragon. If she did, then surely she would have been the queen the realm desperately needed. She had the strength of will to stand before threats and the audacity to put herself into harms way. Maybe it was the wine talking, or maybe the wine had only loosened her lips; but regardless, she had won her battle.
“If you stand like this before your enemies, you will be queen yet.” It was not a lie. When all was said and done and Quellon’s plans made manifest, his lust for the strong could let Alysanne keep her throne and her sovereignty. Could.
Quellon stepped away from her, giving her the space she needed to confirm her victory here. “When I have won you your crown and your throne, that is when I will bring you to the Iron Islands. That is what both me and my people will need to see, as the ones bringing your errant lords to heel.”
The guards beat on the door harder. More had gathered. Quellon did not turn to face it. But they did give him an idea.
“Do I need to leave you a blood guard in this city when I leave?”

Finally, the towering terror stood down. Still pouting over her spilled wine, she breathed a sigh and nodded. "I'll respect your customs." She knew the immediate nature of it all would be subjected to how things went down. She still refused to leave unless the throne was secure and her children were safe.
The beating of the door grew louder. "I'm going to need a lot more than a blood guard if I'm suspected of 'treason.' But I could always use the musclepower," she conceded. Alysanne held out an arm and gestured toward the door. "Anything else before you make your departure?"

“An unnamed, unmarked ship and one hundred men. They will be Ironborn. Disguise them as something else.” Quellon spoke as he approached the door. “The next time we speak will be when I’ve put you on the throne. And…”
When he stopped in front of the door, the shadows of the eaves and the falling sun turned him into a silhouette. “I will be killing a lot of people. Do not let that sour your taste for the throne.”
The guards shoved themselves past Quellon to ensure the safety their ward, and the Lord Reaver himself left the room.
Today, Alysanne had put it best. Tremendous momentum had been gained. And Quellon would use it to break Westeros into the Seven Kingdoms it was meant to be.
